If your hx4700 series iPAQ has stopped reading memory cards it is most likely that the SD and Compact Flash socket on your PDA has broken. If so, this is the repair service you need, this process involves de-soldering the complete faulty CF / SD socket from the iPAQ main board and re-soldering a brand new CF / SD card socket onto the iPAQ main board.

This repair is suitable for the majority of SD and CF card socket related problems. Correcting faults including broken SD / CF card locking mechanisms and damaged read / write pins inside the socket.
