This part is necessary for the operation of the PSP Slim & Lite as it reads the UMD Discs, if damaged, causes disc reading errors or a complete failure in being able to recognise a UMD game or movie.

This part includes the laser, spindle hub and mounting chassis, and requires a small crosshead screwdriver to fit.
